Mounts Bay members clean up Perranuthnoe beach
A big thank to those members who gave up their time and turned out on Sunday morning to collect a mound of rubbish from the beach at Perranuthnoe.
A really great effort from all of you.
As a club we encourage all anglers to carry bags with them to clean up the fishing marks that the ignorant anglers ruin. Whichever club you are in feel free to send us photos illustrating your efforts.

The club has just been informed of the sad death of Bill Mainwairing.
Bill was a really keen member of the the club back in the 1970s and 80s. The shore caught plaice in the image below was caught at Bell Rock and was just over 5lbs.
When Bill stopped fishing he took up wood turning and produced some really beautiful work.

The club has just been informed of the sad death of Brenda Wing.
Brenda passed away on New Years Eve. Brenda and Johnny Wing ran the Quay Shop down at Penzance Harbour and supported the club for many years. A lot of us older club members used the Quay Shop as our main local tackle shop. Johnny, a real local character, died some years back. Brenda was the sensible one! The funeral is at Camborne Crematorium on Weds. 24th January at 12 noon. |
