Thank you so much to all those that made the 60th Festival in 2016 such a success.
The BBQ was brilliant thanks to Badger, Jenny, Mike and Pete. They reached their century of burgers.
The raffle on the night took about £130 thanks to juniors William and Benji Stevens for their efforts selling the tickets. Thanks also to all those that bought raffle prizes and to Ros and John for sorting the tickets.
The trophies and prizes were presented by Sid Pender who fished the first Festival in 1956.
The other notable thing for 2016 of course was that Festival was based on catch and release for the first time

The 60th Annual Festival August 12th to Sept. 4th 2016-BBQ & awards Sept. 10th from6pm
Mounts Bay Angling Society has run an Annual Festival for many years and 2016 is the 60th Festival.
The club would like to make it a little bit special.
For years the Festival was more about prizes than trophies. Local businesses were asked to donate prizes and these were displayed in the windows of various shops in the town centre. You might see a pair of wellington boots with a card attached saying "Presented by Pengelley's Shoe Shop for the Best Shore Pollack." In 2016 we would like to replicate this tradition by having prizes to be won.
Start fishing Midnight Friday 12th August.
First weigh in Saturday 13th August 9pm to 9.30pm.
